The Newest Collection: Resort 2026
Like a well-cut gem, The Lafayette 148 Resort 2026 Collection has been carefully faceted to highlight the new season’s themes: the dark stillness of winter, the dawn of a new year, and the renewal inherent in travel. Creative Director Emily Smith journeyed far into northern Norway’s winter to see what the near total darkness revealed: the Aurora Borealis. The brilliant and colorful sky dance of the northern lights inspired this collection, The Wonder of Light.
Cozy Knits
The first facet of Resort 2026 illuminates winter’s antidote, hygge, a Danish word for cozy warmth, and features featherweight sweaters and textured knits. Look for an interplay of textures and densities ranging from airy cotton/alpaca yarns to Loro Piano camel hair skirts and trousers and Lafayette’s new, exclusive brushed cashmere.
Holiday Wear
The dawn of the new year entails celebration and anticipates the return of light. Look for occasion wear in crinkled silk and velvets subtly alight with sequins, or the bold brightness of textured metallic leather. Constellations inspire silk prints and an inky liquid twill refracts the light in chic evening separates.
